Estimate of delivery rates for your area are calculated at the bottom of the cart.  Just put in your zip code, if it's not already there.

Hands down the best compost/garden soil in the Tampa Bay area. Our 50/50 Mix is perfect for your large pots, or raised beds. Just add your favorite organic fertilizers, and soil amendments, or you can follow our formula (scroll down) that we use in all of our garden installs.

** BULK SOIL** (sold by the cubic yard) is delivery only!** delivery fees for 1 to 8 cubic yards, depending on your ZIP code, average around $175. The average delivery fee for 9 to 20 cubic yards, is $250. The maximum load per order is 20 cubic yards.  If you would like more than that you would need to make a separate order. If your zipcode is located outside of our regular delivery area, you are welcome to reach out for a specialized quote- info@whitwamorganics.com

If you would like to order additional items other than bulk soil, please place separate orders. The soil comes from a separate location. If you put everything on one order, the system will just compound shipping costs, and not give you other shipping options for the other items (Pickup, etc).

1.5 cuft bags are also available, and can be picked up. There is a toggle to go between buying by the cubic yard, and buying by the bag, on the product page. We fill soil bag orders on Wednesday mornings. Orders for bagged soil that come in after 4pm on Tuesday, will be filled the following week (Wednesday).

It takes 18) 1.5 cubic foot bags to make one cubic yard. Orders for bagged soil, can be picked up. If you would like to order more than 18 bags, it is recommended that you consider a bulk soil order for delivery.

Get our specially blended bulk garden soil, delivered right to your driveway, or pick up small quantities of bagged soil from our shop (online orders only). One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet. The box store's bagged garden soil is in 1 or 1.5 cubic foot bags, and costs about $8.00 to $18.00. That means 1 cubic yard of bagged soil from The Big Box store will cost you about $200-$350. Please consider that if the delivery fee seems too high. You are still saving money.  Please understand that we do not make money on the delivery fee. This is a straight through cost to our delivery driver. Buy in bulk, not only for a superior product with a huge savings, but for a greater convenience as well. The more you buy, the more you will save. If you go to check out, and do not have a shipping option then we do not service your area. Please call 813-803-0024 if you have any questions

DIRECTIONS FOR USE FOR ALL NEW PLANTINGS OF SEEDS AND PLANTS

(Secret Formula for raised beds)
-Per 32sqft-

Before planting

add 3lbs of 5-6-6 and

1.5lbs of 12-0-0

to our 50/50 Compost/Garden Soil, raised bed mix. Mix thoroughly, vertically into the top 3-4 inches.

If the soil is like giant oak logs in a fire, then these granular fertilizers are like the small sticks and logs to your fire.

Immediately after planting,

pour over your bed using 1-2 gallons of water

4oz of Compost Plus,

2oz of Micros Plus, and

4oz of Capacity Plus.

These liquids, are like the paper to your fire.

Follow up feedings -post-planting-

For the first few weeks after planting, use just the Compost Plus.

If feeding 1 time per week, apply 4oz per 32sqft in 1-2 gallons of water. I use 2 gallons because I get a more even spread. Use however much water you can comfortably spread the product out in 32sqft.

If feeding 2x per week then 2oz per feeding, and if feeding 4x per week, then 1oz.

Essentially, use the same amount of product per 32sqft, per week. More dilute more often is definitely better, but I know we all have schedules. Do this, for the first 2 to 4 weeks after planting. You will know when to stop.

Use Compost Plus again during the growing season, if fast growth is what you need from your plants.

Follow up -during the season-

Every 1 to 2 months, apply Micros Plus and Capacity Plus with 1-2 gallons of water.  If applying every 2 months then 2oz and 4oz respectively. If applying every month, then go at half the rate. Kind of like with the Compost Plus.

Re-apply 1/8 to 1/4 of the original application of 5-6-6 (no 12-0-0) every 45 to 90 days or as needed until the end of the growing cycle.

ALL PLANT ORDERS MUST BE SHIPPED 2 DAYS OR LESS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND.

It is our goal to get your order together as quickly as possible. However, sometimes orders may take over 7 days. Please understand that if you have chosen one of expedited shipping options (ie Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air) this does not affect how long it takes us to prepare your order. This only indicates how long your order will be traveling, once it leaves our facility.

PICKUP ORDERS- pickup orders are usually ready in 1-3 days. If you need it sooner, please feel free to reach out, and we will try and accommodate. For bagged soil pickup orders, please see below.

When your pickup order is ready, we will reach out to you (usually by text), and coordinate a 2 hour pickup appointment window. The time slots available are M-F between 9am and 5pm. After or before hours, or weekend pickups can be arranged, but must be planned at least 2 days in advance. During your pickup appointment, your order will be placed out front under the brown tent, for you to swing by and pick up. Pickup address is 7409 N Highland Ave Tampa, FL 33604

LIVE PLANTS for out of state orders- To be eligible for a refund on live plants, you must choose a shipping option 2 days or faster. We ship Live Plants on out of state orders on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Florida orders of live plants ship Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

If you place your order on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (OUT OF STATE), chances are it will be going out the following Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Florida orders placed Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, will go out the following week. We do this because by those days, we already have plants pulled and staged, and our week scheduled out. We do not ship later in the week, to avoid live plants shipping over the weekends at all costs.

SEED ORDERS- we bag and prepare our seed packets on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Orders with JUST seeds on them, go out on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

BULK SOIL- after your order comes through the system, we will contact you to arrange the soil delivery. PLEASE NOTE... OUR TRAILER OR DUMP TRUCK IS VERY LARGE AND HEAVY AND HAS A LIMITED TURNING RADIUS. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE WITHIN 1.5 FT OF THE EDGE OF THE DRIVEWAY OR THE DRIVEWAY, OR THE AREA YOU DESIGNATE TO HAVE IT DUMPED. IF YOU HAVE PLANTS, GRASS, ARTIFICIAL TURF, SPRINKLER HEADS, OR ANYTHING ELSE WITHIN 1.5 FT OF THE EDGE, IT COULD BE DAMAGED. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE UNLESS DUE TO GROSS DRIVER NEGLIGENCE. THE ACTUAL STRUCTURE OF YOUR DRIVEWAY (CONCRETE, SHELL, PAVERS, TURF, ETC) AND ANYTHING WITHIN 1.5FT OF THE DRIVE COULD BECOME CRACKED, SPLIT, BROKEN, DEPRESSED, TRACKED, ETC. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE- THESE THINGS COME WITH THE TERRITORY OF GETTING LARGE ITEMS DELIVERED. You would however get a refund on the soil.

BAGGED SOIL- we fill our bagged soil orders every Wednesday. If your order comes in after 4pm on Tuesday, it will be filled the following Wednesday. We will reach out to you after your order comes in, to arrange your pickup.
